SPC Packages
The Quality Way to Collect, Store, Analyze, Report Crucial Data about
Materials
As a compliment to our systems, PSI produces a complete Statistical
Process Control (SPC) data collection package, offering real-time data
collection and graphic display trending of material variation.
Our packaging includes a network interface, user-definable report formats,
and data storage/retrieval features that are not available in most basic
measuring, control, and reporting systems.
Real-time data collection hardware installed near the process uses a line
speed encoder to record gauge measurements at regular intervals. The
real-time data collector buffers these readings and sends them
over a high-speed link to SPC software running on standard PC hardware.
The SPC software:
- Displays strip charts, X-bar and R charts, frequency histograms, and real
time statistics as material runs
- Allows the operator to zoom in on areas of interest
- Prints high quality reports on local or network printers
- Stores data locally or on a network server
- Data is saved in a text format that can easily be imported into other
software
The SPC software can also run at other locations on the network, even over a
remote access link. Data can be stored, watched or retrieved from any
location on the network, and can be used to create
a variety of reports using our flexible layout and content options.
Reports can include:
- Set points
- Operator entered fields
- Statistics, including standard deviation, Cpk, and X-bar, R and control
limit analysis with configurable subgroup parameters
- Out of tolerance list
- Head and tail lengths trimmed according to configurable rules for in and
out tolerance lengths
- Fields calculated from user formulas
